Section 1: Personal
-------------------
Name: Preacherman
Class: Dwarf Priest

1. Previous Guild(s): Raiders of Light

2. Reason(s) for leaving: Guild broke up and I don't like the way the rebuilding process is being run.
3. Why do you want to join TFB? Ever since RoL broke up I've been looking for another end-game instance/pvp guild. One of my friends from RoL ended up in TFB so I looked into your guild. I've pvp'd with many of your players and have always been extremely impressed. Finally, when I came across your thread about Linnea, I knew this was truly a great guild that I wanted to be a part of.
4. Are you aware that TFB is is not out to 'beat' anyone(except horde)? I have spent the last 6 months trying to help progress a guild that was known for gearing up players and then having those players leave. I have tremendous patience, and am in no hurry to get loot. I do love to beat the hordies though.
5. Are you easily offended by racist, sexist, or other such humor? I actually prefer it.
6. What are your top priorities in WoW? I am interested in experiencing more of the end-game content, especially BWL and on. I know I don't have the gear as of yet to do this, but I am willing to put in the time to achieve this. I suppose I should state in here now that I was RoL?s resident shadow priest. A lot of my gear revolves around dps and pvp. I do have a set of healing gear, and have healed in almost every raid situation. I would consider respeccing if it would benefit the guild more, but I would still be interested in acquiring +dmg/+healing gear because the most fun I have playing this game revolves around pvp. I would leave my spec up to the guild to decide, because I am well aware that nobody wants a shadow priest.
7. Do you have any friends within TFB? Any enemies? Bronyraur, Hilbert(helped us in RoL a few times), Kraatos(got to know him by healing him in pvp on his journey to gm). No enemies.
8. Do you have Ventrilo? Do you have a Microphone? Yes/Yes
9. Do you have CT-Raid? Yes

Section 2: Character
--------------------

1. What kind of gear do you have?

CT-Profile: http://ctprofiles.net/1436466

Head: Felcloth Hood
Neck: Choker of Enlightenment
Shldrs: Mantle of Prophecy
Back: Stormpike Sage's Cloak
Chest: Robes of Prophecy
Wrist: Resplendent Bracelets of Shadow Wrath Devout Bracers
Gloves: Gloves of Prophecy
Belt: Girdle of Prophecy
Legs: Pants of Prophecy
Boots: Wolfrunner Shoes
Ring: Seal of Rivendare
Ring: Band of Rumination
Trinket: Talisman of Ephemeral Power
Trinket: Rune of Perfection Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas
Ranged/Relic: Ritssyn's Wand of Bad Mojo Glowstar Rod of Healing

2H Weapon: Anathema <--+30 spell dmg
1H Weapon:
Shield/off:

2. What spec. are you? (be specific) Shadow/Disc 18/0/33(Standard pvp build with extra points in improved vampiric embrace b/c i used to be main shadowpriest in previous guild, also have 15% mana regen while casting)
3. What are your professions, and do you have anything worth noting on them?
-1- 300 Herbalism, have the Blood Scythe
-2- 50 enchanting - just use to de
4. Do you have any alts worth noting? 60 mage and 41 Hunter that can transmute arcanite bars.
5. Have you completed:
- Attunement to the Core? (MC Attunement) Yes
- Blackhand's Command? (BWL Attunement) Yes
- Blood of the Black Dragon Champion? (Onyxia Attunement) Yes
- The Dread Citadel (Naxx Attunement) No (working on rep)

Section 3: Misc.
----------------
1. If Astraeus (our raid leader) was to wrongfully chew you out in the middle of MC/BWL/AQ, how would you react? (be honest!) I would try to take care of it in-game through pm's letting him know that whatever happened wasn't my fault.

2. If you were asked to sit out for an MC or BWL that you signed up for well in advance, how would you react? I would understand that the raid as a whole benefited from leaving me out. I don?t have a lot of end-game items, so better-geared players would obviously come first.

3. Are you familiar with the "Zero-Sum" DKP system of loot distribution? Yes

4. What do you think of Enst's PvP movies? Haven't had the pleasure...

5. Do you feel Greengoo is an arrogant bastard? I haven't come across him in-game recently, but if he is he sounds like my kinda guy :) .

6. What you gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside that trunk? Whore myself out to the lowest bidder :p

7. Do you believe that "Mad Max", "Waterworld", "Terminator 2" and other such films represent an accurate portrayal of what a post-apacolyptic world might be like? "If the Road Warrior says it, than it must be true." ?Eric Cartman / I fell asleep in waterworld so I have no clue. / I would like to think terminator 2 was foreshadowing the future, cause it would be totally BA to have a group of terminators fighting on my behalf.

8. Is there anything else you want to say? If you read "shadow priest" and still made it this far then ty for seriously considering my app :D .

Although we PvP, TFB focus is on PvE at the moment. I'm sure you'll be able to acquire +dmg gear, but to get it you may have to heal during instances. For example Terran and Felyne, both druids, prefer feral but they heal when needed in PvE. Other than that, nice app, hope to see you soon.

Great app but the fact you're die hard on your shadow is daunting. I understand the want to PvP well but honestly the role of shadow priest in PvE is entirely too limited to be considered thoroughly. You will not show up on damage meters for any long-sustained fight and obviously the mana you use trying to out damage them you will not use healing. Unlike a feral druid, you do not have backup innervates or battle raises to make the spec more appealing. If you want to keep the spec, than you will have to put in double the effort of healing. Losing tanks at half mana, going out of mana in the first 2 minutes of a fight, and a lack of survivability in the harder fights will do much harm at your chances. We will obviously keep in mind the gear is not exactly on par with ours, but I know specifically what I will be looking for. I'll let you decide. If you're diehard on your spec, you may keep it.. but you must perform very well in the raids. I do not know how far you might have gotten in BWL with RoL, but in AQ and Naxx, it is by no means tank and kill. A lot of fights now rely on you to conserve as much mana as long as possible, and many more fights require that you keep YOURSELF alive as you do so for the tank. If you're still up for this, contact me in game :D

I guess I should have made it clearer that I don't have any problems healing during raids. I have been forced (and opted) to heal during every instance and every boss at least a few times that I've ever encountered. I was not even expecting to actually make it into TFB without changing my spec. I would love to be able to try it out and see if it is effective enough, but I know that the instances don't revolve around just me and my play style. I don't mind changing spec, I just wanted the ability to still spend my dkp on gear that has both +dmg and +healing on it. I also understand that healing gear will come first, seeing as how that is my main responsibilty.

I work weekdays from 8-4:30 eastern, so I will contact you in-game to discuss further as soon as I get home. Thank you for the replies and the information!

BTW our fearless leader hates priests 90% of the time. Sound enticing ;)

Bottomline: If you are looking to raid often and end game shadow won't cut it. If you are willing to respec and work on getting more healing gear giddy up.

Contact the crazy Ast-hat that posted above. Deep down he is a teddy bear!

EDIT: Damn you post quick ... Your dkp is your dkp and what you spend / buy is yours as well. Take what you want, but as outlined spec will matter in regards to a priests role :(

Sounds good. I figured that I would need to respec anyways so it's not a huge deal, I'll just pvp with ppl that need my heals :D

I work at a helpdesk, so I have nothing better to do than to post replies since they won't let me play the game at work  The nerve of some ppl.

We're not asking for lightwell or anything.. just a strong healing based build, you can still do your pvp thing if you like. Many of our paladins are 20 0 31 (31 ret, 20 holy) spec and we get along fine.

Ok here is what you have to do.

1. Keep your spec
2. Become the 2nd best healer
3. Surprise Astraeus
4. Get ginvite
5. ???
6. Profit

:D

And message me in game.

Edit: I'll proberly be the only one that knows a "healing based build".

Haha it's funny you should suggest that...I used to be in the top 3 healers in my guild as a shadowpriest. Obviously I don't have the gear to do that with you guys, but it would be funny. I'm getting off work here in just a little, so I'll be sure to message you guys in-game.

Honestly, as someone who's been doing these raids as long as I've been, I know firsthand that 75% of healing isn't even spec or gear, it's quite simply getting your heal to the tank before it dies to stupid bullshit. If you can somehow retain that mana and keep the tank up with shadowspec we can talk. However, if you ARE willing to respec, I can assure you I bar no items from priests in terms of +damage gear what so ever. We've had priests take Choker of the Firelord before, and we aren't going to stop now.

And paladins with Azuresong Mageblade, Choaker of the Firelord and Gem of Nerubis. :P

Haven't you ever wondered why - I can beat ANYone - ?

If I didn't have repentance, I could be - ANYone - except rallin. That's why I specced 31 ret... to beat rallin :)

I'm not the son....I'm the Preacherman! I think I made some ears bleed in my last guild while playing that song on raids. Either that or put them to sleep ;-)

I would love to give it a shot, and if it doesn't work out as well as everyone would like, I don't have a problem respeccing. If I can spend the DKP on whatever gear then it doesn't really matter what spec I am. At least that way I can always go back to shadow if I want to, plus it would benefit the raid more.

Guys, I really hate to do this but I'm gonna have to pull my app. I would have enjoyed pvping and raiding with u guys, but it's looking like work is gonna take up most of my free time for awhile. I'm getting slammed, and my hours are going to be changing for the worse. I hope this doesn't tarnish my rep with u guys, and I'd be happy to pvp with you when I do have the time to log on. Perhaps in the future I might be able to look u guys up again. I wish you all the best of luck!
